At low tide, the view is of mud flats, with just small bands of water left. Other times, water creates reflections amongst the grasses, which have a beautiful array of colours in them.
This original painting is part the Songs of Grasses Collectionwhich was inspired by the astonishingly varied palette of colours that can be seen in coastal grasses. The series plays with harmonies of colour to capture an evocative and poetic view of Nova Scotia’s homes and coastal landscape.
